The Blunder

Evan knew it was inevitable.

His marriage splintered

like a foregone conclusion

gone asunder,

as he blamed himself

and not the other,

it was too much to ponder,

his fault,

his blunder,

so he packed up his things

and moved yonder,

leaving those left behind

to question and wonder.

AERIAL

There was a rift between them,

but this rift,

it was

  shifting

     splitting

            swiftly

            ..apart

 breaching

beaching

and bleaching

…you know -

like Harlow

the icon

wasted away…

the hollow one

not the real one

the hollow one

This is real Camille.

As real as it comes

but you must reveal

Passions, inside

Revealed wide

In graceful glide

An Aerial ballet

into your life

And feel free

...please allow me

To flow

with your tide

along for the ride

The Station

Emmitt missed the train again. It was not an unusual occurrence. He had a sizeable stretch run to make the 4 o’clock from his location of employment to the station of departure, and any delay would be most troublesome. But, today was fraught with delays and he was resigned to the fact that he wouldn’t make it. He was correct in assuming so, but he did make the attempt, if for no other reason than to condition himself for the sprints yet to come. But at the station, winded and wheezing, chest burning, he came to the realization that there would be no more futile sprints. This would be his last day playing this here-to-fore never-ending game because today it came to an end. Life as he knew it. Here no more.

VAGRANTS

They were characters in a play

never meant to be that way,

confused by reality,

 and consumed

 by the roles they play

 when the play is over

 they remain

held within

a wire cage

like feral

vagrants

lingering

on an

empty

stage.

Rest Now

Rest assured

you’ll never sleep

what you sew

you’ll never reap

darkness falls

and out you seep

dreams desert you,

you come too cheap.

BITTER SWEET

The desire to approach, but withdrawn with fear,

one falls into a lonely, safe, and painful place,

so dark, and yet so clear
